The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it is alarmed with regards to the large range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your significant variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area daily. The provider place established for intervention encounters a high influx of potential beneficiaries, which makes it complicated to the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more sources to SRD help the servicing of all buyers and raise access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.

For more information, community SRD members can call toll free during working days/hours on 0800 60 10 11 and WhatsApp on 082 046 8553. - SAnews.gov.za
